What You Will Do Keep the ODJFS buildings and grounds safe and secure. Patrol both on foot and by car to check for fires, damage, theft, broken equipment, and leaks. Monitor the electronic security for all ODJFS offices statewide, and be prepared to assist in medical emergencies, which could mean giving first aid or CPR. Keep an eye on who is coming and going or monitor security alarms. Investigate safety and security violations, report any broken equipment, take away prohibited items, and issue warnings for safety rules. Keep accurate records of your checks, visitor logs, and equipment issues. Attend training, use a computer for reports, and maintain files. If you’re assigned to handle first aid, CPR, or use an AED, you will need to get certified within your first few months and keep those certifications current. Schedule and Hours Standard workdays are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Travel Occasional travel within the state of Ohio. PN(s): 20036657.
