Become a Certified School Security Professional. At Cardinal Point, you’re a vital part of a school community protecting students and staff. We are currently hiring Unarmed School Security Officers who will cultivate positive relationships with students.

Location: Abington, PA

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Schedule includes after-school and occasional weekend events when required.

This position follows the school calendar, with 2 months off during the summer.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Stands post at assigned location and secondary locations as required.
• Patrol school facilities (inside and outside) and grounds to prevent access to restricted areas, theft, or vandalism, often taking up to 10,000 steps each shift
• Incident Management and verbal de-escalation
• Monitors flow of traffic during pickup hours
• Act as First responder for emergencies
• Identify and report suspicious activity
• Completes daily activity reports and incident reports as required
• Access Control

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of Security experience working in a school environment, or have experience as a Sworn Police Officer, Military, or Corrections Officer
• High School Diploma or GED
• Complete all training required to become a Certified School Security Professional
• Reliable means of communication (active cell phone with mobile email access)
• Ability to comprehend and utilize the English Language (verbal and written)
• Reliable means of transportation
