Physical Security Systems TechnicianLocation: Fort Meade, MD Positions: 4 Type: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: Approximately 2 weeks Work Authorization: Must comply with ITAR (U.S. citizenship required) Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI required (CI Poly or Full-Scope Poly strongly preferred)About the RoleWe are seeking skilled Physical Security Systems Technicians to support newly awarded programs involving critical facility security infrastructure. This role focuses on the installation, configuration, testing, training, and maintenance of advanced physical security systems across secured environments. Candidates must meet clearance requirements and bring hands-on experience with ACS, IDS, and CCTV systems. This is a steady MondayFriday position with no on-call requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, test, document, and maintain electronic and mechanical physical security systems.Deploy components such as: Door contacts, motion detectors, duress devices, glass break sensors Card readers, keypads, turnstiles, exit devices Cameras, lenses, mounts, CCTV hardware Enclosures, cabling, junction boxes, power supplies, media converters Perform copper and fiber optic installation and termination. Install IDS on perimeter fencing and secured facilities. Provide end-user training and system turnover documentation. Troubleshoot system failures, diagnose issues, and recommend solutions. Program new system components and support software configuration. Conduct QA on all IDS, ACS, and CCTV installations to ensure compliance with standards and codes. Interpret blueprints, manuals, work orders, and schematics. Oversee contractor performance and support project team task planning. Maintain accurate system documentation and inventory control.Work EnvironmentMay include: Confined spaces, hazardous areas, heights (towers, lifts, rooftops), indoor/outdoor conditions, and secure government facilities. Domestic and international travel as required (passport required).Required Qualifications6+ years of experience installing and maintaining ACS, IDS, CCTV, and related security systems of similar scope and complexity. Experience in low-voltage systems and cabling. Active TS/SCI clearance (with CI Poly minimum; FSP highly preferred). Ability to work MondayFriday, 08001600 or 09001700. Factory training in major industry systems such as Lenel, Honeywell, Sensormatic, or Bosch. LENEL Certified Associate (LCA) certification.Preferred QualificationsBICSI certification or equivalent.
