Are you someone who loves being outside and getting your hands dirty? If so, then the Semi-Skilled Laborer position at Beltzville State Park might just be the perfect job for you! We are searching for a positive individual who is dedicated to maintaining the park facilities and ensuring that our visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience. Join our team and help us create a wonderful environment for recreation and relaxation at Beltzville State Park.


In this position, you may work alone or assist a skilled worker in performing routine maintenance and construction tasks at a State Park. Your responsibilities will include repairing structures and facilities using a range of tools, operating vehicles and equipment, and ensuring the upkeep of the grounds through tasks like mowing, weed cutting, and cleaning. You will also be involved in site preparation, planting, and general maintenance. Handling minor repairs and ensuring the safe use of equipment and tools are part of your duties, along with assisting park visitors in a friendly and helpful manner.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Seasonal full-time employment, without benefits
  • This position performs in a seven (7) day a week operation and will be scheduled to work weekends, evening and holidays.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Condition of Employment:
  • This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C drivers license or equivalent.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
