We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant (CPA) to strengthen our finance team in Hooper, NE. This full-time position emphasizes managing daily accounting functions, producing accurate financial reports, and supporting audits and regulatory compliance. The role is ideal for a CPA who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to enhance processes across the organization in Hooper.

The position is designed for a CPA with 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, strong U.S. GAAP expertise, and the ability to work primarily onsite in Hooper, NE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee general ledger operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account maintenance for Hooper activities.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP and federal, state, and local financial regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits, tax submissions, and compliance reporting.
  • Evaluate financial data to provide actionable recommendations for business strategy.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and management on accounting and financial matters.

Requirements

  • CPA certification required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred).
  • 3–7 years of accounting experience in corporate or public environments.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Experience working onsite or in a hybrid setting.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Work Schedule & Location
  • Onsite presence required for the majority of the week.
  • Fully remote arrangements are not available for this role.
