We are partnering with a Michigan-based agribusiness operator with a footprint across 20+ states in a highly regulated, fast-growing industry where finance is central to operational and strategic decision‑making. This is not a passive, transactional accounting role. The finance team is deeply integrated into how the business operates, grows, and drives profitability. If you enjoy ownership, analytical depth, and visibility into leadership decisions, this opportunity stands out. Why This Role Is Different You will assume much of the day-to-day accounting currently handled by the CFO Direct mentorship and daily interaction with senior leadership Exposure to strategic planning, growth initiatives, and industry-level decision-making Multi-entity, multi-location accounting environment Casual dress, collaborative team, professional but relaxed culture High visibility and trust from day one What You’ll Be Doing Own core day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, payroll review, cash activity) Lead month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting Maintain accuracy and consistency across multiple entities Build and maintain advanced Excel models and analysis Perform financial and operational analysis to support leadership decisions Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning Improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting Partner closely with the CFO on both tactical and strategic initiatives What We’re Looking For 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong financial analysis mindset Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, complex spreadsheets) Solid GAAP and month-end close experience Desire to grow toward Controller or CFO-level responsibility Professional but relaxed workplace Casual dress code Direct visibility into both operational and strategic initiatives This is a rare opportunity to run the accounting function day-to-day while gaining firsthand exposure to how senior-level financial strategy happens. With operations across multiple legal entities and locations, this role provides exposure to intercompany activity, entity-level reporting, site profitability analysis, and process improvement in a growing environment. Due to industry-specific banking and compliance requirements, accounting also plays a larger role in cash controls, liquidity planning, forecasting, and treasury-related responsibilities, offering experience many professionals don’t gain until much later in their careers. This position blends accounting ownership with meaningful financial analysis , including budgeting, margin analysis, performance evaluation, and delivering decision-ready insights to leadership. You won’t just report the numbers — you’ll help explain the “why” behind them and support strategic growth decisions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
