About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations and help to establish a best-in-class accounting function at Way. Senior Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.
The Senior Accountant is extremely detail oriented and understands that every transaction is important and must be accurately recorded to give the business transparency on performance and resource allocation. Time management and organization within the role is paramount. The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in the operations of our business, ensuring our data and documentation is accurate at all times.
Tech, Software/SAAS, Startup is ideal. Also open to larger corporate/white collar/tech/software companies
Must-Have:
- Strong technical accounting experience: GAAP, AP, AR knowledge and experience, closing books, reconciliation, complex journal entries, building systems
- Experience with Quickbooks
Nice to have:
- CPA
- Knowledge/experience of software Maxio
