Position Summary

We're seeking a Senior Accountant to join this innovative team and support its finance operations. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will handle a wide range of accounting and analytical functions-including financial reporting, data validation, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will bring a problem-solving mindset and a collaborative approach to cross-functional support.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute monthly close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting in alignment with GAAP
• Support internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance
• Drive automation and efficiency in accounting and reporting workflows
• Analyze financial results, trends, and performance metrics for management insight
• Prepare monthly consolidated P&L and balance sheet flux analysis
• Reconcile month-end balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
• Maintain the integrity of financial data through accurate transaction recording and consolidation
• Manage general ledger functions, including trial balances and subsidiary account transfers
• Assist with bank reconciliations and other tasks to meet close deadlines
• Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation schedules, and assigned balance sheet accounts
• Lead or support ad-hoc projects and additional duties as needed
• Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all financial activities
• Research accounting issues and recommend appropriate treatments
• Collaborate effectively across departments and levels of authority
• Apply sound judgment and knowledge of accounting principles and company policies

Qualifications

• 3 4 years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools
• Ability to meet critical deadlines with precision and reliability
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Solid understanding of journal entries, accruals, and ledger analysis
• Experience with month-end close processes
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Commitment to continuous improvement and scalable solutions
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with ASC 805 (Business Combinations), ASC 842 (Leases), and ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition)
• Experience with purchase accounting
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct
• CPA certification
