💰 $80,000 – $100,000 + strong work/life balance


We’re partnering with a well-established, mission-driven organization in the Greater Philadelphia area that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its growing finance team. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative environment where leadership is actively investing in upgrading talent, improving processes, and building a stronger accounting function.


About the Role

This Senior Accountant will play a key role in day-to-day accounting operations, with a focus on accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger activities. You’ll also act as a backup to senior team members and help drive process improvements across the department.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Support and oversee payroll processing (~80 employees)
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and related journal entries
  • Prepare and post journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance
  • Contribute to month-end close activities
  • Document and improve accounting policies and procedures
  • Leverage Excel for reporting, reconciliations, and analysis
  • Partner with leadership to identify process improvements and efficiencies


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience with AP and payroll
  • Strong Excel and systems skills
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to think critically and see the bigger picture
