LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant for a full-time, temp-to-perm position based onsite in Ewing, NJ. This role is responsible for managing core accounting functions, including subscription revenue accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for monthly and year-end close
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis
• Manage subscription-based revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606
• Track and reconcile deferred revenue accounts
• Review customer contracts for proper revenue treatment
• Coordinate with sales and operations to ensure accurate billing and revenue schedules
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA candidate preferred)
• 4+ years of accounting experience, including subscription revenue accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience in a technology or manufacturing environment is a plus
