Senior Accountant

We are partnering with a well-established global nonprofit on a search for a Senior Accountant to join their Miami-based finance team. This role will serve as internal partner to the SVP of Finance and Operations, and will own the day to day accounting operations with significant contributions to the month-end close process. The organization is currently in the planning stages of a system implementation. What You'll Be Doing Month-end close across AR, AP, and payroll, including regular journal entry posting Balance sheet account and credit card reconciliations Payroll posting and cycle accuracy Cash receipts recording and verification Expense coding research and allocation by department and state 1099 preparation and issuance Audit and budget support as needed Process improvement work alongside the SVP as part of the system rollout What Our Client Is Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting Hands-on accounting experience with real ownership of month-end close Sage Intacct experience is a plus; genuine interest in ERP implementation is a must Someone who is organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working across multiple departments Why It's Worth a Conversation The organization has a strong internal promotion track record, the SVP of Finance and Operations grew within the same finance team.
