Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to support our Controller in monitoring and maintaining the financial records of the Company, our subsidiaries, and related entities.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing hands-on accounting including journal entries, month-end & year-end closes, including complete Trial Balance reconciliations.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and proactive accounting professional with a strong foundation in financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close processes. They bring a hands-on approach, thrive in a fast-paced & entrepreneurial environment.
Candidates must be comfortable performing daily reconciliations to the general ledger.
They demonstrate sound judgment, a high level of integrity.
Key Responsibilities Perform month-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across multiple entities – including intercompany transactions.
Assist in preparing internal financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses.
Payroll, A/R, and A/P Oversight Assist with oversight of bi-weekly payroll processing
Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including cash receipts and disbursements
Compliance, Controls & Audit Support Assist with annual audits, insurance audits, and governmental audits
Systems & Process Support Serve as a superuser of the company’s accounting system of record
Other Maintain confidentiality and security of financial and employee information
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned
Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1–2 years of progressive accounting experience
Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
Experience with Trial Balance reconciliations
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
