Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to become an integral part of our diverse team. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, a proven record of advising clients on business and tax matters, and a passion for excellence. In this role, you'll collaborate with our team, begin to mentor Staff Accountants, and lead special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver strategic tax planning for business entities.
Experience in consolidated tax returns
Manages multiple engagement teams in a way that demonstrates success and improvements.
Successfully manage accounting and consulting engagements, including review and audit services
In-depth knowledge of income tax law. Will be responsible for all aspects of tax services, including preparation of Individual, Corporate, Partnership, Estates, Gift Tax and Trust Returns
Possess a positive work ethic and a drive to participate as a member of the team.
Demonstrates an ability to build relationships with clients, focus on understanding their needs and deliver timely and high-quality service.
Begin to mentor staff accountants through leadership and training objectives.
Takes ownership of billing/budget procedures which may include addressing difficult billing, collection, or budget matters.
Participate in networking and business development activities for personal and professional growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Masters in Accounting required
3-5 years firm experience in public accounting
CPA license required
Extensive background in GAAP accounting
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proficient in both general and accounting related computer software with preferred experience in ProSystems, Advanced Flow, QuickBooks. Yardi Breeze experience is a plus.
