Accord is seeking a mission-driven Senior Accountant to support the Vice President of Finance and serve as a lead on the Finance Team. The Senior Accountant will maintain the integrity and validity of all financial data. 

This is a hybrid role (minimum two days in office per week) located in Midway St. Paul, MN. Candidates must live in Minnesota.

The Senior Accountant will: 

  • Maintain all general ledger accounts.
  • Conduct monthly and year-end closing procedures and reconcile balance sheet and bank statements.
  • Prepare schedules and work with the Controller to complete the annual audit as well as any other finance monitoring reviews.
  • Forecast and analyze financial status with other internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain fixed asset inventory and depreciation schedules.
  • Manage the housing function’s accounting, including but not limited to: recording monthly rent, preparing monthly rent statements, and participating in bi-weekly housing meetings. 
  • Prepare and submit monthly contract invoicing.
  • Administrate Finance software solution, including integrations between ERP and FP&A software.
  • Support accounts payable as needed.
  • Review and record lockbox cash receipts.

Requirements

Preferred Qualification: 

  • Certified Public Accountant or Financial Planning and Analysis certification. 
  • Experience in Nonprofit accounting. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to financial detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to explain financial reports.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in sharing information and completing work.
