About the Opportunity:

First Help Financial, recently voted , for three years in a row is seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst to join our Compliance team! This is an exciting new opportunity for an individual to join a growing company and compliance team. As our ideal candidate, you will bring strong written and oral communication skills, the excitement to multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. What you will do:

Your duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Independently manage the annual legal review and updates of company policies, procedures, contracts, and notices
  • Execute the development and revision of policies and procedures, responding swiftly to emerging regulatory requirements and business needs
  • Manage company documents, including maintaining version control and overseeing changes in contract versions to ensure legal accuracy and consistency
  • Lead the company’s regulatory change management process and collaborate with business units to effectively implement required changes
  • Act as a primary legal and compliance resource for business units, offering timely and accurate legal research and guidance on complex issues with minimal supervision
  • Conduct legal research and provide support for business expansion activities, including coordinating with external counsel to draft and review new contracts and notices, and collaborate with the business units and tech team on successful implementation.
  • Handle inquiries and complaints from regulators with a high degree of professionalism, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Lead and participate in projects and ad-hoc requests.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, law, or related field - Graduate legal degree or
    Compliance certifications are highly desirable
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in an in-house legal and/or compliance department, preferably within the auto lending sector.
  • Experience with compliance management software a plus 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines and frequent interruptions
  • Excellent writing skills, with a proven ability to draft grammatically precise, concise, and accurate legal documents
  • Demonstrated leadership and independence in managing projects, with the capacity to mentor and guide colleagues
  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically for up to one week at a time, twice per year for company-sponsored training and team-building initiatives.
