Senior Finance Analyst FP&A, Wholesale: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family


As the Senior Analyst, Finance (Wholesale) you will be responsible for supporting the Vans Americas Wholesale business in driving accurate and insightful Monthly Forecasts and supporting a broad range of business partners to drive actionable reporting, improved access to data/analytics, and helping to drive well informed decisions in pursuit of sustainable, long term profitable growth. The role will interact regularly with all levels of personnel within Vans Americas organization as well as partners across VF.


How You Will Make a Difference:


  • Own Wholesale Customer reporting across 2 continents to support the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, and other Central/South America performance. Reporting includes bookings, shipments, customer P&Ls and weeks of supply modeling.




  • Work with leadership across the organization to establish budgets and consistently pursue cost savings. Areas of ownership will include, but not be limited to, Marketing, Sales, and G&A.




  • Own the gross margin forecasting process for Wholesale, both for margin at a customer level as well as product category.




  • Partner with supply chain to own inventory projections and product cost analysis.




  • Own Balance Sheet forecasting for AR, Inventory, and Fixed Assets.




  • Analyze and proactively modify reports using large quantities of data (100,000+ rows) to adapt to changing business conditions. Identify trends, and report on findings in Executive-level summaries, including making recommendations in self-created presentations to senior leadership to drive financially optimal decisions aligned with the business' strategic objectives.




  • Partner with Accounting team on month-end close Actual vs. Forecast variance analysis




Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ years in related field and level


Educational/ Position Requirements :


  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative/analytical disciplines. An MBA or CPA is a plus but not a requirement




  • Experience in a commercial organization performing revenue and margin analysis




  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, including macros, Pivot Tables, vlookup/hlookup and SUMIF(S)




  • Proficient in analyzing and creating business reports in Excel using large quantities of data




  • Proficient in utilizing BI tools (BOBJ/Cognos) and SAP ERP




  • Financial modeling skills




  • Strong financial modeling skills, especially income statement and cash flow analysis.




  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills




  • Ability to synthesize data and communicate a clear story to diverse audiences




  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude




Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:


  • 4 days per week expected to be in the office (Monday-Thursday in office, Friday work remotely, but subject to change)




  • Travel by air and overnight, as required 10-15% amount of time.




  • Lifting and/or bending, lifting 10 lbs of weight.




Hiring Range :


$73,440.00 USD - $91,800.00 USD annually


Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
