Senior Ansible Automation Engineer (Windows/Linux)

Location: Remote in LATAM Brazil (Work primarily in local time zone with overlap across US, India, and UK teams)
Duration: 6 months (possible extensions)

Rate: $25-30/hr on W2

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Ansible Automation Engineer to support enterprise automation initiatives using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and Event-Driven Ansible (EDA).

This role focuses on enhancing and migrating automation use cases across Windows and Linux environments, with a strong emphasis on Windows automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Ansible Playbooks, Ansible Workflows, and Event-Driven Automations
• Analyze and migrate existing Windows/Linux automation workflows into Ansible-based solutions
• Automate operational tasks including patching, compliance, configuration management, and observability
• Integrate Ansible with enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, Splunk, VMware, and external databases (SQL/Oracle)
• Build and maintain custom Ansible modules and collections (Python-based)
• Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams in a backlog-driven automation model
• Produce technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
• Working knowledge of Event-Driven Ansible (EDA)
• Advanced Ansible Playbook development for Windows and Linux
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Strong YAML and JSON skills
• Experience integrating automations with APIs and external data sources
• Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD concepts
