Senior Architect – Licensed – Principal | Schools and Municipal projects

Description:
Immediate need for a Senior Architect – MUST be a Registered Architect in New York. Projects are mostly schools/educational projects, municipal/government buildings but some industrial projects as well. This is for overall leadership of school projects. This individual will serve as the primary client liaison and will ensure projects are delivered on time. MUST have experience with the NYCSCA from scope development and design through bid phase and construction close-out.
HYBRID – 3 days/week in the Pleasantville office.
Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural projects from scope development through design and construction of K-12 schools and municipal projects.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Work with division leaders identifying and pursuing new business.
- Manage project budgets, schedules and staffing.
- Oversee design quality, technical accuracy, and constructability.
- Manage construction submittals to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Ensure compliance to local and state building codes as well as SCA requirements.
- Mentor and supervise project managers and architects.
- Oversee coordination with other disciplines.
Qualifications:
- 15 years of experience as an architect, primarily on school projects as well as other projects.
- NYC SCA experience is a MUST.
- MUST be a licensed architect (RA) in NY State.
- Strong understanding of school and municipal design and construction.
Education:
BS Architecture, B Architecture, or similar degrees. MUST be licensed.
