The Senior Assistant Director of Adult Day Services with the support of the Director of Adult Day Services is responsible for the overall supervision and management of Day Habilitation Services programs/PWW programs at multiple sites; supervising and working with the Program Manager to develop meaningful activities to be provided on site and in the community.

Role Responsibilities:

· Participates in the interview process, hiring decisions, timesheets, and retention efforts.

· Provides training and ensures all staff is held accountable to all policies and procedures.

· Upholds and models agency values, setting the standard for all.

· Oversees multiple program locations on a day-to-day basis and assists with opening program sites.

· Participates in program planning reviews for all people supported when needed or as requested by the person supported.

· Ensures the appropriate implementation of goals and staff actions as indicated in Life Plans and SAPs.

· Works with the Community Liaison to develop meaningful and educational activities to be provided in the programs by Direct Support staff and ensure they have the creative supplies needed to implement the activities.

· Oversees the safety and well-being of people supported and ensures the safeguarding of their rights.

· Ensures compliance with OPWDD and HCBS regulations.

· Monitors units of services and related data.

· Follows chain of command as needed for reporting concerns with people supported, employees and the program.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field.

· 5+ years supervisory experiences in an OPWDD setting

· Extensive working knowledge of OPWDD regulations; applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.

· Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications

· Must be able to display a high level of professionalism and discretion and understand the sensitive nature of confidential employee information with superior emotional intelligence.
