Jobcon Logo Job Description :

At Capital One, we believe great products begin with a deep understanding of our customers. From our earliest days, we pioneered the use of predictive modeling to individually personalize credit card offers, turning the entire industry on its head. As we’ve grown bigger, we’ve found more and more ways to use technology and face‑to‑face conversations to understand the human problems associated with money and finances. We’re looking for a Senior Associate Product Manager to join the Issue & Activate team within Capital One’s Consumer Bank debit organization. In this role, you’ll own the digital wallet experience end to end—spanning provisioning, tokenization, and token lifecycle management. Your mission is to make it effortless for every customer to add their debit card to the digital wallet and merchants they choose, and to keep those credentials working seamlessly over time. That means building experiences that automatically update tokens when a customer receives a new card or recovers from fraud, gracefully remove or block credentials when a subscription trial ends, and generally take the friction out of managing where a card lives. You’ll sit at the intersection of customer experience, network partnerships, and payment security, turning a historically invisible (and often frustrating) part of the payments journey into something customers never have to think about. On any given day in the Bank you’ll be: Empowered. Part of a team responsible for defining the central data strategy for Retail Bank. Delivering data platforms that will drive how we embrace emerging technologies and power our business agenda by enabling real‑time, intelligent decisions and creating a competitive advantage for the Bank and Capital One. Learning constantly. Work deeply with customers, associates, designers, technologists and data scientists to build cutting edge solutions. Innovating relentlessly. Pushing big change by asking bold questions; starting small, testing, and learning your way to something dramatically better. Sharing openly. Telling stories that change the way people think about building products and solving problems, and that illustrate the power of what software can do to make them even better. Connecting creatively. Jumpstarting a self‑supporting community by sowing the right seeds, building the right tools, integrating the right off‑the‑shelf products and just plain elbow grease. Succeeding strategically. Solving the right problem and holding on the wrong one. In this role, you’ll learn the essentials of being a product manager, and we’ll invest in you to grow in four key areas: Human Centered You’ll collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria, identifying and elevating any need for additional research to define future feature design. You’ll breakdown business epics into features and further into user stories, driving your team towards lowest effort or Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for a valid feature test. Business Focused Demonstrating a growth mindset, you’ll effectively use hypothesis‑driven assessment of data to ensure your product or feature delivers on real business needs. You’ll own and prioritize feature development roadmaps, ensuring all necessary processes and procedures are followed to manage risk. Technology Driven You’ll work autonomously in an agile environment to conduct research and develop features that utilize new and evolving technology. You’ll collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists and subject‑matter experts to build cutting edge solutions to help customers. You’ll deliver well‑managed product platforms for customers by seeking to understand technology trends and architecture strategy. Transformational Leadership By actively participating in horizontal forums, you’ll harness a network of trusted relationships among tech teams, designers, key internal stakeholders and partner teams. You’ll articulate a succinct product roadmap to deliver business value and share with stakeholders, elevating your team’s results and becoming a product matter expert. We want you if you are: Intellectually Curious. You ask why, you explore, you're not afraid to blurt out your crazy idea or follow an email chain for weeks to find someone with an answer. Comfortable with ambiguity, a hunger to learn and a seeker of new challenges. Communicator & Influencer. You can communicate complex ideas clearly regardless of your audience. Our team knows their priorities and why they’re doing what they’re doing. You always can rally associates to work with you. Do-er. You’re biased toward action, you try things and sometimes you fail. You can get around roadblocks and stay focused on your goals. You’re well organized, able to multitask and able to prioritize your work. Passionate & Customer Focus. You care about growing others and bringing them together around what’s possible. You get a thrill from the journey of building and shipping products, and you have a desire and ability to connect with our external or internal customers to fully understand their needs. Learner. You have an appetite to learn new things or new technologies all while exhibiting humbleness when the time comes to ask for help. Team Player. You enjoy working with diverse people and driving the team toward a common goal. You have the ability to put the team before yourself and establish long‑lasting relationships. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or military experience. At least 2 years of experience working in Product Management. Preferred Qualifications Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field).
