Job Description Summary Independently designs, develops, tests, and maintains complex software solutions that meet business and user needs. Emphasizes delivering scalable, reliable, and high‑quality applications by applying advanced best practices in coding, architecture, and software lifecycle management, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. Designs, develops, tests, and maintains software components and services that address defined business and user requirements within an assigned technical domain. Implements well‑scoped features and enhancements using established coding standards, architectural patterns, and development best practices. Contributes to the reliability, scalability, and performance of applications by writing high‑quality, maintainable code and participating in peer code reviews. Collaborates with cross‑functional technical teams to execute planned technical initiatives and deliver solutions on schedule. Troubleshoots, debugs, and resolves software defects and production issues within area of responsibility, applying root‑cause analysis as needed. Participates in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements refinement, design discussions, development, testing, deployment, and support. Applies secure coding practices, testing strategies, and documentation standards to ensure software quality and compliance with team guidelines. Leverages existing frameworks, tools, and technologies to build and enhance applications across relevant technology domains. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience. In-depth knowledge of information systems with the ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree and ten+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Experience in supporting vendor applications integrated with API’s (REST/SOAP), Middleware systems, Message queues (MQ/Kafka), ETL processes and data flows. Experience with deposit products (checking, savings, CDs, money market accounts) and understanding of pricing strategies: tiered interest, product bundles, relationship, pricing, promotional rates. Knowledge of Zafin’s pricing & billing product is an advantage. Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow with solid understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes. Proficiency in using monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, or CloudWatch to detect and resolve system performance issues. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to assist in root cause analysis and incident resolution. Experience in mainframe technologies (Cobol, JCL and Z/OS connect) and mainframe modernization is an advantage. Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
