In this role, you will develop scalable APIs, data pipelines, and full-stack, cloud-native applications that power our lending platform. RESPONSIBILITIES Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain full-stack solutions including backend services, RESTful APIs, and responsive front-end interfaces; build and optimize data pipelines for near real-time and batch processing using Python and SQL. Cloud Infrastructure: Leverage AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, Glue, API Gateway, SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Textract) to build and deploy secure, scalable, AI-powered solutions. Generative AI & LLM Development: Prototype and ship features powered by Claude (Anthropic) and other LLMs, including prompt engineering, RAG pipeline development, LLM output evaluation, conversational workflows, and agentic automation for lending operations. AI & ML Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support AI and ML initiatives including credit scoring, fraud detection, and customer segmentation. Delivery & Quality: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines; monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with financial regulations; proactively communicate progress and raise blockers early. Team & Knowledge Development: Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and onboarding; support and mentor junior team members by sharing best practices, assisting with task understanding, and fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement. Data Modeling & Schema Design: Design and maintain database schemas and data models that support scalable, performant lending workflows; apply sound normalization principles and own the data layer underlying the APIs and pipelines you build. Security & Compliance-Aware Development: Build with security-first principles- including data encryption, access controls, and secure API design and maintain awareness of financial services compliance requirements (e.g., FCRA, SOC 2) as they apply to system design and data handling. Code Review & Engineering Standards: Actively participate in peer code reviews, providing constructive feedback and upholding engineering standards around readability, test coverage, and maintainability; take accountability for the quality of your own output and model good engineering practice for junior teammates. Agile & Sprint Participation: Operate within an Agile delivery model- participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives; break down tasks into well-scoped tickets, estimate effort accurately, and deliver consistently within sprint commitments. Cross-System Integration: Build and maintain integrations between internal systems, third-party data vendors, and platforms such as Salesforce; ensure data flows reliably across the lending stack and that integrations are well-documented, monitored, and resilient to upstream changes. QUALIFICATIONS Required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team. Preferred Internship or project experience in fintech, lending, or financial services. Experience building agentic AI workflows including tool use, multi-step task orchestration, or production deployment of agent-based systems. Experience with data analytics platforms (e.g., Sigma, Power BI, Tableau); familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes); knowledge of data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, FCRA); familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
