Keep Sedona Beautiful, Inc. is looking for an experienced Senior Auditor to join our team. As a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the natural beauty of Sedona, Arizona, we are committed to transparency and accountability. The Senior Auditor will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of our financial operations by conducting thorough audits and assessments of our financial systems and processes. This position requires a detail-oriented and analytical mindset, as well as the ability to communicate findings effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with our finance team to identify areas of improvement, ensure compliance with regulations, and support the organization’s overall mission. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with agency regulations.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management and the board of directors.
  • Assess and enhance existing financial systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively with the finance team to develop solutions for identified issues.
  • Stay current on best practices in auditing and nonprofit finance.
  • Provide training and support to staff regarding audit processes and financial compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or relevant certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, with a focus on nonprofits being highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and auditing standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a mission-driven environment.
