Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction for civil designers, and are looked to as a technical specialist, staff advisor, and consultant.  
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate civil engineering work. 
  • Oversee the design and ongoing progress of a project, including project coordination with city, state, and county officials and other outside agencies. 
  • Find solutions for a variety of potential issues such as, conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements. 
  • Participate in new business development; market Galloway’s capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients. 
  • Assist in the development, mentoring, training, and coaching of team members. 
  • Prepare improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for commercial developments, residential, multifamily developments, and public works projects. 
  • Prepare calculations like storm drain, wastewater, water system, earthwork quantities, transportation, cost estimates, and other supporting documentation for public and private projects.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education 

  • Bachelor of Engineering from a 4-year, board-approved engineering curriculum.   
  • PE preferred, ability to obtain PE within 6 months of starting, or equivalent level of experience/certifications equal to someone who has their PE.  

Experience 

  • Typically, a minimum of 5 to 8 years of civil engineering experience 

The estimated starting base salary for this role is $85,000-$110,000.
