The Senior Cloud Architect will support a growing initiative with a global leader in the Defense & Aerospace industry. This project focuses on the development of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based software solutions that integrate with existing non-cloud systems. The Software Engineer will contribute to mission-critical defense applications, supporting the organization’s cloud technology roadmap through modern microservices architectures, containerized workloads, and DevOps best practices. This is a long‑term contract position requiring full onsite presence in the Melbourne, FL area. Competitive compensation will be provided. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are interviewing qualified candidates immediately and will move efficiently through the hiring process. Please apply with an updated resume. QUALIFICATIONS Experience designing and deploying scalable, containerized microservices, utilizing Java, C++, or Python (OOP) and modern distributed systems patterns. Experience building secure, available cloud environments with Terraform and Kubernetes, including networking, IAM, and production‑grade infrastructure. Experience with automated CI/CD, Docker containerization, Kubernetes orchestration ensuring security, compliance, and observability in regulated defense environments. Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust Clearance Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
