Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Onsite : Denver Colorado

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to lead the design of secure cloud architectures and drive DevSecOps practices across the organization. This role partners with engineering teams to define security standards, automate controls, and support secure cloud operations at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect secure AWS (and/or GCP) cloud environments, including landing zones and reference architectures
• Define and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and governance
• Design IAM, least-privilege access, MFA, and SSO solutions
• Implement encryption, KMS, and data protection strategies
• Drive DevSecOps adoption across the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
• Integrate security monitoring (SIEM, CSPM) and incident response automation
• Lead risk assessments, threat modeling, and security reviews
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with DevOps, Engineering, and business teams

Required Experience

• 5+ years in cloud or security architecture
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP
• Strong Linux background with Bash and/or Python scripting
• Experience with CI/CD, Git-based source control, and automation
• Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and SDLC

Nice to Have

• Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) and container security experience
• Agile development experience
• Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Docker, GitHub
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases
