Job Title: Senior Compliance Director

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Compliance Director to lead our organization's compliance program and ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in compliance management, a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, and a proven ability to drive a culture of compliance across the organization. This role requires a seasoned leader who can effectively collaborate with senior leadership and external regulators to mitigate risks and safeguard the organization's reputation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive compliance program that aligns with the organization's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead a team of compliance professionals, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure effective compliance practices across all business units.
  • Monitor and interpret new and existing regulations, assess their impact on the organization, and develop strategies to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, compliance audits, and investigations to identify potential areas of vulnerability and develop corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with senior management to integrate compliance considerations into strategic planning and business processes.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees on regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and manage all communications and responses to regulatory inquiries, examinations, and investigations.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to the executive team and board of directors, highlighting key compliance risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Foster a culture of integrity and compliance throughout the organization by promoting ethical behavior and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree (JD, MBA) or relevant certification (e.g., CCEP, CRCM) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in compliance or regulatory roles, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance best practices, and risk management principles.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and managing compliance programs in complex organizations.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, with experience interfacing with boards, executive teams, and regulatory authorities.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and attention to detail.
