Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Construction Litigation Attorney in New York, New York. The successful candidate will manage a caseload involving insurance defense, general liability, and construction-related litigation, including New York Labor Law matters. Duties Independently manage a caseload of construction litigation matters, including NY Labor Law claims, from inception through resolution or trial. Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances. Collaborate with partners and team members on case strategy and complex legal issues. Communicate regularly with clients, providing timely updates, legal analysis, and strategic recommendations. Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural requirements, and firm standards. Utilize legal research tools and case management systems effectively. Requirements JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar. 7+ years of proven Labor Law construction experience. Experience with insurance defense, premises liability, and general liability matters. Demonstrated experience as first and/or second chair strongly desired. Advanced understanding of NY Construction Law (Labor Law §§200, 240, 241), preferred. Experience with OSHA proceedings and regulatory compliance is a plus. Strong organizational and case management abilities. Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management software. Certifications Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar. Skills Strong organizational and case management abilities.
