JOB DESCRIPTION:

Snap Inc is a technology company.
We believe the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate.
Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together.
The Company’s three core products are Snapchat, a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends, family, and the world; Lens Studio, an augmented reality platform that powers AR across Snapchat and other services; and its AR glasses, Spectacles.

As a member of the Brand Maker Studio team, you will be instrumental in building the Snapchat brand, and crafting best-in-class marketing materials for a wide range of audiences that help celebrate our latest products, features and company developments.

The Brand Maker Studio team is a diverse crew of artists, makers, writers and designers.
But first and foremost, we are creatives.
We prioritize craft, drive, and above all else, ideas.
We represent one of the world’s most innovative companies and serve an engaged global community, so we aim to inspire them with every project, no matter the size.

So, you're thinking about taking on the role of Senior Content Creator at SNAPCHAT? Congratulations on considering a life less ordinary.
Let's dive into what this gig is all about…but first, think of yourself as an artisanal sandwich maker at a 5-star deli in Sicily.
You’ll craft delicious sandwiches that are unique, nuanced and that leave a palpable flavor on the palate of our audience.
From prose that snap to visuals that pop, you’re the creator of content charcuterie board selection.

Storytelling is an art and you’re the master.
Your job will be to craft sandwiches, I mean stories, that resonate like well-timed family anecdotes at that holiday dinner.
We want narratives that tug at the heartstrings, tickle the funny bones and keep them coming back for more - creating an emotional connection with the audience.

Picture yourself as the diplomat of sandwiches, sorry I meant content collaboration.
Work seamlessly with different teams, each with its quirks and charms, to create a cohesive narrative that’s as smooth as creamy peanut butter on a lightly toasted PB&J.

You’re not just creating sandwiches, I mean content; you’re the face of the bread, I mean the brand.
You will embody the ethos and vibe of SNAPCHAT.
Your job is to make our brand as quirky and endearing as this job posting.

What you’ll do:

  • Innovative Content Production that stretches the delights and engages of our users and keeps them coming back
  • Brand Storytelling Mastery that aligns with our brand ethos that align with the target audience
  • Craft compelling narratives that embody our values, missing and impact
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Impact utilizing collaborative strategies to facilitate communication, encourage an agile mindset where team members are willing to iterate and adjust their approach based on information and feedback
  • Brand Ambassadorship through authenticity, passion and advocacy in the work you do with the team internally and externally
  • Review and edit content created by team members to maintain quality standards and consistency.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to content creators to improve their writing skills and storytelling abilities.
  • Foster a collaborative and creative work environment where team members feel empowered to contribute ideas and initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be a multi-disciplinary, multi-faceted, creator.
    A doer.
    A Maker.
  • Strong influencing skills that push leaders and teams to create impactful culturally relevant content
  • Able to think conceptually and transition creative ideas into thoughtful and well crafted work.
  • Present and sell through your team’s creative ideas in compelling and effective ways to a large cross functional team and executive stakeholders.
  • Manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to make quick, high-quality decisions based on evolving project needs and creative goals.
  • Work in a clear and thoughtful manner and be able to articulate the strategic thinking behind your creative process.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment, but can also work autonomously with strong time management skills.
  • Highly curious and interested in exploring and discovering new creative formats that help drive business impact.
  • Manage and nurture collaborative working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across varying verticals, disciplines and markets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • Hands-on creative with demonstrable experience working as a content creator (in-house, freelance or agency)
  • Highly proficient in the Adobe Creative Cloud ecosystem (Premiere, AE, .

    )

Preferred Qualifications:
