Summary:We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to lead and support automation and controls systems within an industrial manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for designing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting PLC- and HMI-based systems while partnering closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and industrial control systemsLead controls efforts for new equipment, upgrades, and capital projectsSupport commissioning and startup of automated manufacturing systemsDiagnose and resolve complex electrical, controls, and automation issuesDevelop and maintain control system documentation and standardsCollaborate with operations, maintenance, and IT teams on system integrationMentor junior controls engineers and techniciansEnsure compliance with safety, electrical, and manufacturing standardsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)10+ years of controls/automation experience in an industrial manufacturing environmentStrong PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)Experience with HMIs, VFDs, motion control, and industrial networksProven experience leading automation projects from concept through commissioningAbility to troubleshoot complex systems under production pressurePreferred Qualifications:Experience with robotics, vision systems, or SCADAKnowledge of safety PLCs and machine safety standardsPrior experience mentoring or leading technical teamsWhy Join Us:High-impact role with ownership over automation systemsStable manufacturing operation with ongoing capital investmentCompetitive compensation and benefits
