Preference given to candidates residing within a commutable distance to New Freedom, PA, or willing to relocate.  Johnson Controls Advanced Development and Engineering Center (JADEC) As part of the Johnson Controls Building Efficiency business, the Controls & Systems Engineering team applies this mission to buildings, providing solutions for a more comfortable, safe, and sustainable building environment for owners and occupants. The Senior Controls Engineer will join the team that develops advanced controls for Chillers and Smart Building products used by our customers to run their buildings and manage their energy costs. Keep reading!How you will do itThe candidate will perform duties as a Data Center Controls engineer.As a member of the Controls & Systems Engineering team, the candidate will work with other engineers in developing, testing, and supporting controls for Chiller Solutions’ products.This individual must be an analytical thinker and be disciplined in applying robust design methodologies and engineering principles (modeling, simulation, statistics, data acquisition, etc.) to develop and realize equipment control solutions.This individual must be self-motivated and able to work independently but must also be able to interface directly with electronics engineers, mechanical engineers, software developers, systems engineers, and research engineers to develop system-wide solutions.This role will work with peers and specialists across disciplines to meet shared product milestones. In addition, the position will be responsible as lead for complex projects, which will involve implementation, reviewing work products, and mentoring junior engineers and interns.What you will needRequiredA qualified individual shall have a minimum of a BS in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.Model Based Design with Code Generation 5+ years.Model Based Design Automated Test 5+ years.MATLAB/Simulink 5+ years of work experience.​​Experience working with and producing control and system requirements specifications and documentation.Industry experience outside of Chiller HVAC is acceptable, including equipment or machine manufacturing.​Strong team-building skills to support fast-paced product delivery methodologies.#Controlsengineer#Systemsengineer
