Senior Corporate Accountant We’re partnering with a Calgary-based organization to add a Senior Corporate Accountant to their Corporate Finance team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of public company reporting requirements along with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and technical accounting initiatives.What you’ll be responsible for:External Reporting: Support the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including detailed note disclosures, and MD&A. Close Process: Play a key role in the month-end and quarter-end close cycle by preparing journal entries, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and assisting with more complex accounting matters as they arise.Internal Reporting: Contribute to timely and accurate financial reporting packages for senior leadership and the board.Audit Coordination: Work closely with external and internal auditors during quarterly reviews and the year-end audit, helping to address requests and ensure a smooth process.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance existing processes, including automation and efficiency improvements.Team Support: Provide guidance and review support to junior team members and CPA students.Special Projects: Get involved in technical accounting and strategic initiatives, including drafting accounting memos and supporting the implementation of new standards. What we’re looking for:CPA designation 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a public company or public practice firmsStrong working knowledge of IFRSAdvanced Excel skills
