Wolfgang Confectioners currently has openings for a Senior Cost Accountant at our Camp Hill Facility.
The Senior Cost Accountant will work directly with the Director of Manufacturing Accounting to determine and implement cost accounting procedures and methods. Will require a strong working knowledge of generally accepting accounting principles. Record, classify, examine and analyze data relating to transactions to ensure accurate and complete financial recording.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicates clearly and effectively throughout the organization for the purpose of complying with standardized accounting procedures and maintaining a positive employee relations environment
- Is knowledgeable of and assures compliance with company accounting, administration, and human resources policies and procedures
- Make recommendations to improve or modify existing processes or methods to improve and enhance accounting procedures in accordance with established company policies
- Prepares cost estimates of new or special products for establishing selling prices
- Update customer pricing files
- Enters, verifies and validates formulas/costs in ERP system
- Calculate and adjust standard costs as needed
- Summarizes purchase price and material usage variances
- Develops, manages and generates appropriate and timely reports regarding financial data
- Assist in month end closing and account reconciliation process
- Maintains balance sheet reconciliations
- Oversee corporate credit card program
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing and public accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Comprehensive understanding and application of cost accounting principles, concepts and practices
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Clear and concise verbal and written communication
