Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Testing Lead with a minimum of 8 years in data testing, ETL, and data warehousing. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Snowflake, ETL processes, SQL, and DBT, along with hands-on experience in Power BI dashboard validation. This role requires strong leadership, technical acumen, and the ability to drive end-to-end data quality initiatives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the data testing track and collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute testing strategies.
- Author comprehensive data test strategies, plans, scenarios, and test cases for complex data pipelines and reporting systems.
- Own end-to-end data testing activities within the data testing tower, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Track and manage all testing lifecycle activities and documentation using ALM or similar test management tools.
- Accurately estimate testing effort for new or changed requirements and identify resource needs.
- Facilitate defect triage meetings and drive resolution of data quality issues.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in best practices for data testing and automation.
- Ensure robust test automation frameworks are in place for data validation and regression testing.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in data testing, ETL, and data warehousing.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake, ETL tools, SQL, and DBT.
- Proven experience in Power BI dashboard testing and validation.
- Deep understanding of data warehouse architecture, including dimensional modeling (fact and dimension tables), incremental loads, and partitioning.
- Excellent SQL skills, including advanced joins, window functions, and query optimization.
- Proficiency in test management tools (ALM, JIRA, etc.).
- Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks for data testing.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
