Position Overview As a Senior Database Administrator, you will play a critical role within our IT team by managing and optimizing our Microsoft SQL Server environment in a complex enterprise infrastructure. You will take ownership of the full lifecycle of database operations — from performance monitoring and tuning to high availability, disaster recovery and security management. Your work will ensure that our mission-critical systems, including ERP and Business Intelligence platforms, remain secure, stable and highly available. In addition, you will collaborate closely with Application, BI and SAP teams, acting as a key technical point of reference for database-related matters. Key Responsibilities Manage and support multiple Microsoft SQL Server instances (on-premise & virtualized environments). Monitor database performance, perform performance tuning and capacity planning. Design and implement backup, restore and disaster recovery strategies. Ensure high availability (HA/DR) and business continuity. Manage database security, permissions and compliance policies. Develop and maintain SQL jobs, stored procedures and automation scripts. Support and optimize ETL processes (e.g. SSIS or equivalent tools). Enable data integration and exchange with SAP S/4HANA systems. Support Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence environments. Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis. Collaborate with Application, BI and SAP teams to ensure seamless system operations. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA in an enterprise environment. Strong knowledge of T‑SQL. Proven experience in performance tuning and query optimization. Hands‑on experience with backup/restore, replication, Always On and clustering. Experience with ETL tools (e.g. SSIS or equivalent). Solid understanding of Data Warehouse and BI principles. Experience in ERP integrations (ideally SAP). Ability to manage mission‑critical systems. Very good command of the English language. Preferred Qualifications Experience in SAP S/4HANA integrations. Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, etc.). Experience in virtualization and/or cloud environments. Microsoft certifications (e.g. Azure Data, SQL Server). Knowledge of other RDBMS platforms (e.g. Oracle).
