Overview:
Seeking an experienced Senior Design Construction Manager to lead the successful delivery of capital projects supporting key regional and system-wide healthcare initiatives. This role is integral to ensuring the timely and efficient execution of complex healthcare construction projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage capital projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regional initiatives.
- Oversee and coordinate project teams, including third-party vendors, architects, and contractors, ensuring key deliverables and deadlines are met.
- Review project reports for accuracy and completeness and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Develop and manage project budgets, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
- Facilitate design and construction meetings, reviewing design documents for quality and constructability.
- Lead efforts to manage construction schedules, RFP development, and vendor negotiations.
- Monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to design specifications and contractual obligations.
- Manage the coordination of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) procurement and moves.
- Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and safety standards during construction.
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Finalize construction project closeouts and compile necessary documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in construction management.
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare-specific construction management.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience, including vendor and third-party management.
- Proven experience with land use practices, financial analysis, and contract negotiations for construction projects.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex, large-scale projects.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
