Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer (10+ years of experience)
Work location: Ridgefield Park, NJ
Duration: 1 year

Must have strong experience in Kubernetes and OpenShift and Redhat

Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, OpenShift (Hybrid Cloud))
Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
Experienced in Java, Microservices using Spring Boot and Build Tools (Maven or Gradle).
Extensive hands-on experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift and Microservices.
Good Understanding in Service Mesh.
Good Knowledge in Spring Batch Job and Cron Job.
Proven experience in Kubernetes administration and orchestration.
Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, containerd)
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK stack).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities
Kubernetes Expertise: Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters. Set up and maintain production-ready Kubernetes environments. Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters for performance and reliability. Implement best practices for container orchestration
Infrastructure Automation: Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform to automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure components, Maintain version-controlled IaC scripts for consistency and scalability
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, Integrate OpenShift into CI/CD workflows to facilitate seamless containerized deployments
Monitoring and Logging: Implement and configure monitoring and logging solutions tailored for OpenShift environments, respond to and resolve incidents related to infrastructure and application performance
Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices for containerized applications and Kubernetes clusters. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with application modernization teams to understand application requirements and optimize deployment processes, Work in tandem with operations and support teams to ensure smooth production operations

Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on OpenShift Kubernetes.
Comprehensive understanding of OpenShift architecture, deployment, and administration.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus
