Senior Director Of De Novo Apply
The Senior Director of De Novo will serve as the strategic leader responsible for translating growth objectives into actionable, scalable plans that deliver high-performing, patient-centered clinics. They will drive and oversee the end-to-end execution of new dermatology clinic openings, ensuring readiness at launch and stable early operations. This role will lead cross-functional alignment across real estate, construction, operations, clinical, finance, IT, HR, and marketing to ensure every new site opens on time, within budget, and to brand and quality standards.
The Senior Director will also establish best practices for de novo development, proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies, and drive continuous improvement across all phases of the launch process. Through disciplined execution and visionary leadership, this role ensures each new clinic is positioned for long-term operational success, strong financial performance, and exceptional patient and provider experiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead all de novo projects as the primary point of accountability, ensuring successful execution from planning through post-opening stabilization.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and interdependencies across real estate, construction, operations, HR, IT, finance, marketing, and clinical teams to ensure coordinated delivery.
- Anticipate potential issues and drive timely resolution to maintain project pace and achieve targeted launch dates.
- Oversee all pre-opening activities, including licensing, staffing, systems setup, and marketing readiness, to ensure full operational preparedness.
- Support new sites through launch and early post-opening ramp-up, ensuring a smooth transition to steady-state operations.
- Report project progress, key milestones, and potential risks to executive leadership with clear communication and actionable recommendations.
- Travel as needed to Nashville and site locations to provide on-site leadership and ensure project success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent advanced degree preferred
- Demonstrated success leading de novo expansions, market launches, or large-scale multi-unit rollouts within healthcare services or healthcare retail.
- A minimum of 10–15 years of progressive experience in healthcare services, multi-site operations, or other complex, growth-oriented environments.
- Exceptional project management expertise with proven cross-functional leadership and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, think strategically, and solve complex problems in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
