Job Summary:
The Senior Director of Program Account Management oversees customer relationships, program delivery, and performance for a designated region. This role ensures adherence to company processes, provides strategic direction to program teams, and acts as a key liaison between customers and internal departments. Responsibilities include managing key accounts, supporting business development efforts, negotiating contracts, and leading program execution to achieve operational and financial goals. The position requires extensive experience and judgment to drive customer satisfaction, team performance, and long-term business growth.
The work location will initially be in Dubai, UAE, on a temporary basis to establish strong relationships with key accounts, with the intention of transitioning to a permanent role at SPI's headquarters in California.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the senior advisor to program teams regarding projects, tasks, and operations in a region
- Serve as a senior advisor to program teams on regional projects, tasks, and operations
- Oversee multiple customers/programs as a Program Manager for the region, from sales handover through development and contractual support
- Act as an Account Manager for specific accounts, ensuring SPI commitments are met, addressing escalations, and fostering long-term partnerships
- Develop solutions to program challenges and direct the work of team members across various departments
- Assist in new business development and expanding the company’s footprint
- Manage daily execution of teams, customers, suppliers, and program schedules, including modifications to strategies and resources
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of program databases and related information to optimize operations
- Provide guidance and support to the Program Management team
- Act as a key member of the department Leadership Team
- Serve as the Manager of Record for direct reports within the region
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- 12+ years of experience in program management, with demonstrated expertise in overseeing complex, multi-departmental initiatives
- 5+ years of management and leadership experience, including directing cross-functional teams
- 5-7 years of experience developing, managing, and fully owning department budgets to achieve organizational objectives
- Proven experience in direct personnel management, including team development, performance evaluations, and mentoring
- Strong understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in program and account management
- Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills to manage customer expectations and internal team performance
Benefits
The starting pay range for this position is $158,000 to $190,000 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
