DescriptionThe opportunity:You will lead the Engineering function for all Power Quality opportunities and projects, particularly Synchronous Condenser projects across ANZ. Technology, application and Engineering lead for project and tendering activities for all Operating unit market offerings. Consults with and influences customers, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders on the application, innovation, and benefits of the company’s technology offering. Ensures that appropriate technology and application thereof in all engineering disciplines and ensures that all engineering discipline activities within tendering and operations team are implemented, in accordance with standard solution offerings, contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.How you will make an impact:You will provide specialist technology and/or industry knowledge to build credibility and influence with clients, provide solution configuration expertise and identify opportunities for customers to derive value from the use of the company’s products and technology, define/contribute to the determination of technology, delivery model and statement of works for tenders and projects, liaise at senior technical level, consults within the business and process engineering solutions to meet customer needs.You will function as a technology authority for engineering deliverables in all applicable engineering disciplines, ensure that engineering solutions are developed with complete information, evaluate, select, and adapt products techniques, procedures, and criteria.You will collaborate with customers to shape and deliver solutions, seeking feedback and innovation with the customer to drive and deliver improvements, attend projects meetings, and present all technical aspects of projects assignments, contribute to the implementation project both as SME and solution configuration specialist through the project phases.You will ensure that engineering is developed with complete information and that all multidisciplinary information has been included in the engineering development, lead development of new solutions for complex projects and challenges, drive completion of all engineering activities on the project, act as a design authority for engineering deliverables in all applicable engineering disciplines, may act as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completes engineering assignments for that discipline, coordinate design with consortium partners.You will provide technical support to Project Managers, collaborate on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, clarify potential issues, or provide solutions to correct engineering errors, provide technical support to commissioning and start-up activities.Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.Your background:You hold an Engineering Degree (Bachelor) with appropriate experience in the High Voltage industry.Minimum 15years experience in High Voltage Utility/Renewables sector or similar related industry.Registered or eligible for CPENG and RPEQ.Proficient with MS Word, Excel.Proficient in English communication.More about us:At Hitachi Energy Australia, we offer you:Our flexible working practices help you optimize personal and business performance while creating an environment where all employees can develop their skills and grow.International working environment and empowering working culture.On Job Training will help you to grow and enhance your skills.Qualified individuals with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to use or access the Hitachi Energy career site as a result of your disability.
