Job Description

Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager

Permanent | Hybrid working available

Your New Company

A well‑established consulting engineering firm providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and renewable energy design services is entering its next phase of controlled growth. The business has a stable leadership team, a strong pipeline of work, and a collaborative internal culture. This hire is a strategic addition to support both current delivery demands and future expansion.

Your New Role

This is a pivotal position within the electrical team. The firm is seeking an electrical engineer capable of providing technical leadership across commercial building projects, managing client relationships, and bringing structure and consistency to project delivery.

Candidates operating at a more senior level will take immediate ownership of projects, oversee quality, mentor team members, and help guide production. Strong engineers who are earlier in their leadership journey will also be considered, provided they can run projects with limited oversight and are motivated to grow into full project management responsibility. Senior review and mentoring will be provided as part of that progression.

You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial kickoff through construction documents, construction administration, and closeout. The role blends hands‑on electrical design, QA/QC, coordination, mentoring, and direct client interaction.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Proven experience designing electrical systems for commercial building projects
  • Strong technical background across power distribution, lighting systems, and fire alarm design
  • Solid working knowledge of NEC, IBC, and applicable energy codes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience with field surveys, construction documentation, and coordination
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in mentoring, leadership, and long‑term professional growth

What You’ll Get in Return

  • A critical role within a growing consulting engineering platform
  • Real influence over project delivery and team development
  • Clear opportunity for progression and increased responsibility
  • Exposure to a diverse portfolio of commercial and institutional projects
  • Hybrid working structure, with a preference for four days in the office
  • Competitive compensation and benefits

What You Need to Do Now

If you’re an electrical engineer looking for a role with responsibility, visibility, and long‑term growth potential, apply now or reach out for a confidential discussion. The company is motivated to move quickly for the right hire.
