About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Photovoltaic Designer to support the design, coordination, and execution of commercial solar projects from concept through construction. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background and several years of hands-on solar design experience who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute across all phases of solar PV projects, from site assessments through construction support
• Develop high-quality design packages, including both conceptual and detailed construction documents
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Perform technical design tasks independently, including system layout, electrical calculations, and equipment sizing
• Produce detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD
• Conduct analyses such as voltage drop, fault current, and short circuit studies
• Support electrical distribution design, including single-line diagrams and medium-voltage systems
• Utilize tools such as ETAP and PVsyst for modeling and analysis
• Coordinate with utilities and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
• Assist in preparing technical specifications and documentation
• Help guide and mentor junior team members while maintaining high design standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in commercial solar design
• Proven ability to deliver complete, high-quality construction documents in a senior design role
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and industry-standard tools such as ETAP and PVsyst
• Solid understanding of electrical design principles and code requirements
• Comfortable working within project budgets and timelines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
