Senior Electro Mechanical Repair Specialist Apply

RMC is hiring a Senior Electro-Mechanical Repair Specialist to support our customer in Dahlgren, VA.
The selected applicant will:
- Responsible for maintaining, conducting maintenance, repair and install of hardware.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues down to the circuit board level and fabricating custom cables.
- Travel (CONUS) if needed.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of general maintenance and repair experience in computer based electro-mechanical equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to solder multi-layer circuit cards, cables, and connectors.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze circuit card assemblies to identify problems at the component level.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Work with electrical diagnostic tools.
- Follow existing procedures for equipment at the component, chassis, or system level.
- Perform research on Commercial-Off-The- Shelf (COTS) material.
- Ability to travel (CONUS).
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, assist in moving equipment, and ability to crawl underneath a raised flooring system to set up electrical wires.
- Must be able to obtain desired certifications with 90 days of start and maintain such certifications.
Desired Certifications:
- Must obtain a valid J-STD-001 solder certification within 90 days of start.
- Must obtain an Operator IPC 620 wire harness and cable certification within 90 days of start.
Required Security Clearance:
- An active interim DoD Secret clearance is required to start; but applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Candidates will possess:
- Experience with ring laser gyroscope, such as AN/WSN-7.
- Experience with 400HZ converter sets.
- Experience with NAVSSI and GPNTS.
“Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $85,000 to $124,000 annually.”
