The Sr Engineer Technical Services provides support and guidance to manufacturing in the areas of manufacturing processes, equipment operational capabilities, and equipment maintenance and equipment installation. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review manufacturing needs and recommends manufacturing processes and machinery to meet company needs
  • Develop detailed specification for machinery
  • Negotiate pricing and delivery on machinery
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders for machinery purchases  
  • Maintain records on machinery purchased
  • Direct, lead and perform installation of machinery
  • Provide day-to-day support to plant maintenance personnel on an as needed basis
Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or ten or more years experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment
  • Steel processing industry experience highly desirable
  • Verbal, written, interpersonal, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite applications
  • Ability to travel 50%
