Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work
• Perform material takeoffs for structural and miscellaneous steel projects
• Develop cost estimates based on material and labor costs
• Review subcontractor and material quotes and incorporate into the estimate
• Work closely with project team to ensure accurate and competitive bids
• Prepare and submit proposals to clients
• Attend project meetings as required

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Structural Steel Estimator
• Experience with estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret project specifications and drawings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures
