Senior Financial Analyst
Industry: Manufacturing / Industrial Equipment

A leading global manufacturer is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support revenue and gross margin analysis, forecasting, and business process improvement. This position plays a key role in financial planning and performance tracking, and will regularly collaborate with operations, sales, and finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue & Margin Forecasting: Develop tools and processes for whole goods and aftermarket revenue and gross margin planning. Analyze actuals vs. forecast, and manage updates and projections.
  • Product Cost Analytics: Partner with operations finance to analyze trends in material, freight, outsourcing, and factory activity. Support cost modeling and performance insights.
  • Month-End Close: Analyze revenue and costs during the close process. Complete journal entries and support variance explanations and performance trends for leadership.
  • Sales & Program Support: Assist sales teams with backlog reporting, modeling of new programs, and tracking performance against goals.
  • Business Process Improvement: Serve on cross-functional teams to optimize processes, strengthen controls, and evaluate tech solutions.
  • Special Projects & Training: Represent finance in corporate initiatives, audits, and external reporting requests. Deliver training on financial metrics and tools within the region.

Required Skills & Tools

  • Advanced Excel (Lookups, PivotTables, modeling)
  • Familiarity with ERP/consolidation tools (Oracle EPM, BaaN, HFM, Infor)
  • Data analysis tools such as Access or Power BI
  • Strong written and visual communication skills
  • Ability to investigate root causes and follow through with corrective actions
  • Cross-functional collaboration (operations, accounting, sales)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 6+ years of experience in finance or accounting
  • Experience with month-end close, budgeting, and standard cost models is preferred
  • Prior involvement in cross-functional project teams is a plus
