As an Operations Senior Financial Analyst, you'll partner closely with Operations leadership to deliver meaningful financial insights, drive cost improvements, and influence strategic decision-making.You'll be the bridge between Finance and the shop floor analyzing performance, identifying opportunities, and helping leaders understand the financial impact of their decisions. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where your recommendations will drive efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and support long-term business success.What You'll DoPartner with Operations management to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting and analysisProvide insights into operational and financial performance, highlighting trends and opportunitiesLead cost analyses, ROI evaluations, forecasting, and budgeting processesIdentify and solve operational financial issues, recommending and implementing cost-saving initiativesAnalyze variances between actual and standard costs to uncover root causes and improvement opportunitiesSupport capital expenditure analysis, continuous improvement projects, and other strategic initiativesLead month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement reviewDevelop KPIs and dashboards that help Operations leaders monitor performance and make data-driven decisionsReview and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsServe as a key resource for ERP enhancements and financial systems improvementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams and, when applicable, provide leadership and development to team membersMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance3+ years of accounting or finance experience, ideally in manufacturingStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to interpret data from multiple sources and translate it into actionable insightsUnderstanding of manufacturing cost drivers and operational processesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance audiencesExperience leading or contributing to process improvement initiativesWorking knowledge of ERP and financial systemsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointPreferred QualificationsMBA, CPA, or progress toward certification5+ years of finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with QAD, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar systemsFamiliarity with financial modeling techniques (ROI, IRR, NPV, payback, economic profit)Lean or Six Sigma experience, including process mappingAbility to adapt priorities based on changing business needsWillingness to travel as requiredMajor AccountabilitiesOwn the budgeting process from initial inputs through final reviewLead periodic forecasting cyclesBuild financial models to support operational and accounting initiativesProvide clear, actionable variance explanations and recommendationsConduct cost center reviews and help leaders understand spending driversSupport month-end close, including margin, inventory, and variance analysisDevelop and maintain operational KPIs (OEE, production vs. targets, pieces per hour, S&OP)Strengthen internal controls and streamline accounting processesSupport ERP implementations and system enhancementsContribute to strategic business initiatives and cross-functional projectsFollow Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System proceduresWhy This Role MattersThis role is more than numbers it's about helping the business run smarter.
