What we need YOU to do:

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest senior financial analyst in our Division of Air Pollution Control (DAPC) at our Central Office in Franklin County.

As senior financial analyst, you will coordinate Local Air Agency (LAA) distribution of funds from Ohio EPA to LAAs. You will research and analyze multiple financial reports from LAAs to resolve errors, modify data, and/or determine appropriate action. You are going to design and build custom reports for LAAs and serve as liaison to troubleshoot any LAA financial issues, questions, and communications.

You are going to review Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) grants and fiscal grants and establish the fiscal monitoring of grants to ensure quality assurance throughout all processes by reviewing available funds in compliance with state and federal procedures.

As our newest senior financial analyst, you will also assist the fiscal unit in the processing of vouchers and purchase requisitions. You will perform journal voucher requests for DAPC fiscal lead and Ohio EPAs Office of Fiscal Administration. You are going to reconcile Division vouchers and Payment Card transactions, and notify LAA regarding payment activities, while tracking receipt reports and payments of various Ohio EPA grants to additional government entities.

  • Provides critical fiscal support to local government entities, including report assistance, reviewing financial reports, and answering questions.
  • Helps draft Ohio EPAs contracts with local government entities and universities, including contract amendments.
  • Helps provide fiscal assistance to DAPC, including purchase requisitions, payments to local government entities, and processing asbestos refunds.
