Job Description:

As a Senior Financial Analyst - Accounting at Augmentjobs, you will play a pivotal role in managing and analyzing our financial records. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, preparing comprehensive financial reports, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. You will work closely with various departments to streamline accounting processes, improve financial systems, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support business decision-making. Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets and forecasts to support financial planning and performance management. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.

• Account Reconciliation: Perform complex reconciliations of accounts and resolve discrepancies. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of general ledger entries and account balances.

• Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and support internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement. Provide actionable insights to senior management.

• Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices and new technologies to streamline operations.

• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives. Mentor and guide junior financial analysts as needed.

• Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the integrity of financial data.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation preferred.

• Experience: 6 to 8 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., ERP systems, Excel). Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data management.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to stakeholders.

• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
