Job Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing insightful financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support the company's strategic decision-making processes. This role involves collaborating with various departments to develop budgets, financial models, and performance metrics. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning & Analysis:

    • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis.
    • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis:

    • Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document underlying causes for variances.
    • Provide recommendations for improvement based on analysis and insights.
    • Create and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor business performance in real-time.
  • Strategic Support:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new business initiatives, product launches, and strategic projects.
    • Conduct financial analysis for capital investments, mergers & acquisitions, and other high-impact projects.
    • Support the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Risk Management:

    • Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations to mitigate risks.
    • Ensure financial controls and procedures are followed, assisting in internal and external audits as needed.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
    • Drive automation initiatives and leverage financial software to streamline workflows.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA/CFA preferred).
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and business performance metrics.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders clearly and effectively.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
